 The Sierra Historic Sites is once again planning the annual Mountain Heritage Days celebration on Saturday, September 19, 2009 and hope that you might join us again and help to make this year's celebration bigger and better than ever before. As noted we are having it one day only but are having all the usual activities as noted below any questions? Call 683-6570

Our annual parade will be on Saturday morning starring at 10:00 with the parade route beginning at Yosemite High School (Road 427) and turning onto road 426 and ending at Golden Oak Drive. Please note: the parade route will be closed until all participants have returned to the staging are& The Sierra Tel Trolley will be operating between Oakhurst Elementary & Fresno Flats Village & Park after the parade. Our schedule is as follows..

6:00 AM          Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast (Community Center Annex)

9:00 AM           Vendor official opening

Donuts & Coffee available for purchase

10:00 AM        Parade begins..

11:00 AM        Parade Ends and Fresno Flats official opening.... All buildings open with docents

Food/Snacks/Soft drinks/Beer

Sluice Box Derby

Quilt Show

Bands/Entertainment in the Gazebo

Petting Zoo/Miniature Horses/Alpacas

Clowns/Face Painting/Kids Games/Balloons Woodcarvers/Demonstrations/Early Day Engines Country Fair Pie and Cookie Competition

2:00 PM Parade Trophy Awards

4:00 PM         Wire & Cheese Tasting in the Laramore Garden

Music in Laramore Garden with Jackie Byers & friends

5:00 PM         Music for listening with Shirley Lay and Carl Bosco

5:30 PM         Barbecue begins serving at $20.00 per ticket: New York Steak or Grilled Salmon Baked Potato/Salad/Bread

Dessert/CoffeelWater/Tea

Wine & Beer available for purchase

7:00 PM         Music for listening (and dancing) “guitar" with Bud Laird & Friend
