David Nemeth and Fern Facchino were named 2009 Man and Woman of the Year at the annual Oakhurst Area Chamber of Commerce installation dinner Friday night at the Pines Resort.

Sierra Ambulance was honored as Business of the Year and Rima Runtzel as Volunteer of the Year.

Using the words of Martin Luther King Jr., Susan Madden, newly installed president of the Oakhurst Chamber of Commerce, told the crowd at the installation dinner last Friday night, "Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase."
